What should a small business in India look for in cloud storage?

How much storage does a small business need?
Add up the data on the servers, NAS boxes and laptops you back up. Backup software stores the first full copy and then only changes, so 30 days of daily backups often needs well under twice your original data. Add expected growth for a year and run it through the calculator.
Is cloud storage safe for business data?
It depends on how it is set up. Use encryption, a separate key for the backup app, Object Lock on backup buckets and a monthly test restore. See security.
Can we back up our Synology or QNAP NAS?
Yes. Hyper Backup on Synology and Hybrid Backup Sync on QNAP can send backups to S3-compatible storage. Add Stornox using your endpoint and keys. Setup notes are on the backup software page.
Is Stornox only for large companies?
No. You pay per TB, so a 5 TB account and a 500 TB account use the same rate card.
